About Mac:

My name is Mac Wubben. I work as an environmental policy analyst at the Center for Clean Air Policy in Washington DC. The views and opinions expressed here are of course entirely my own. I may be a slightly unusual environmentalist in that I don't hug trees per se, but I seek to defend the trees, the water and most relevantly the air for humankind. My educational background is in environmental policy and environmental economics, with with degrees from the University of Chicago and the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.

I am proud to be able to assist the brilliant Vermillion Lies in their effort to share information on Global Warming/Climate Change. At their request, I have put together links to some key climate change websites. I also offer my own perspective on the issue--the challenge, the cause, the dangers, and the solutions. Much of my own opinion is included here, and I welcome honest discourse, should you disagree with what I've said.

I have happily volunteered to be a resource for any Vermillion Lies fans with global warming related questions. My skills are fairly versatile--I can tell you how much greenhouse gas emission you emit on your way to work or school, what the impacts are from leaving on your lights or from switching from your road-hogging SUV to a delightful hybrid. I can give perspective on what the country is doing and what it should be doing, and also information on what individuals can do. Basically I am your personal climate policy expert, ready to answer any questions you have--just ask me!

I would like to thank Vermillion Lies for this opportunity (and for their fabulous music as well)

Sincerely,

Mac Wubben

Mac
